Tiered Achievements
This guide explains how to create a progression of related achievements using the parent/child structure—ideal for tiered goals like "Write 1, 3, and 5 reviews" or "Buy 1, 3, and 5 of product X." Each subsequent achievement builds on the last, unlocking only when the previous one has been earned.
How to Create a Series
To create a series of achievements with progressive difficulty or milestones:
Create the first achievement
Define its logic, image, title, and reward as you would any normal achievement.Add a child achievement
Under More Options, select “Create child.”This creates a new achievement that:
- Inherits the logic and motif of its parent by default
- Is automatically locked until the parent is unlocked
Customize the child achievement
Adjust any of the following to differentiate it:- A unique motif
- Modified or more difficult logic
- A different reward tier or description
Repeat as needed
You can continue nesting child achievements to create multi-step series (e.g., Bronze → Silver → Gold).
Tips for Designing Achievement Series
Maintain a consistent theme
Use related titles, icons, and language to reinforce the progression.Scale difficulty and rewards
Each tier should feel like a meaningful upgrade from the last.Visual progression
Consider using similar but increasingly impressive images (e.g., a growing trophy, a badge that gains color/detail).Keep it motivating
Let users clearly understand what’s next and feel rewarded at each stage.
